Vaastu For October 2021
Read on to know the correct direction that the idol of Goddess Durga should face!
Vaastu Recommendation For Placing Idol Of Durga Maa

With Navratri around the corner and people bringing home idols of Goddess Durga, one question that arises is in which direction should Maa Durga face when placed?
Our experts say that every deity has its own directions and they should be worshipped according to the direction that is set for them.
As per mythological beliefs, the idol of Maa Durga should be kept in either the south or south-east direction. South is considered to be the zone of fame and Kaali is an abundant source of energy believed to bring fame and recognition to individuals. The South-East zone stands for fire and money, and Maa Durga is considered to be the eternal source of energy and power.
It is also important that while worshipping, the devotees should face the south or east direction. In addition to this, worshipping by facing the east direction awakens the consciousness and while facing the south brings immense mental peace.
In addition to the direction of worship, make sure that the entrance of the worship place of Maa Durga is not in front of the main entrance gate. The feet of the idol should be at least at the chest level of the one who performs the ‘puja’.
Along with this, you can place pyramids made of wood or plastic in the north-east direction of the house. Also, keep in mind that the pyramid is hollow from below. Finally, one must make a swastika before starting to worship.
There are specific directions even for placing ‘diyas’ and lamps at the place of worship for Maa Durga. If there is any lampshade, it is to be placed in the southeast corner.
It is said that according to Vaastu, there should be light yellow, pink or green colour in the room because it is believed to bring positive energy into the worship room.
